29 August Draw

Welcome to the final draw of our Winter Season!

Kidzplay Netball extends a huge thank you to all the teams who took part in this year’s Winter League. Your energy and support throughout the season have been truly appreciated.

A special shoutout to all the teachers and parents who volunteered as coaches, managers, umpires, and transport helpers. Your time and commitment are what make our competition possible.

🧡 A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE for making the 2026 Winter Season such a fantastic experience! We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have, and we look forward to welcoming you back for the Spring League starting on 17th October 2026.

Dress-Up Fun & Rotations:

To celebrate the final games of the season, all matches on 29th August will be “Non-Competition Friendly Games.” Teams have been paired based on skill level and player experience to ensure an enjoyable finish for everyone.

  • Coaches are free to rotate players into any positions.
  • Swaps can be made at half-time or quarter-time to add extra fun.
  • Teams are encouraged to dress up in an appropriate theme of their choice, with bibs being the team colour.

Let’s finish the season with smiles and creativity! 🌟🎭

Important Notes:

  • ALL teams have a game on 29th August.
  • To ensure every team gets a game and can be part of the fun on the final day, with no Byes, some teams are scheduled to play two games. These are:
    • Mairangi Bay Emerald Year 2
    • Wainui Sapphires Year 4
  • Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, and Year 5 games on Courts A - F → 15-minute halves (swap ends at half-time).
  • Year 5 and Year 6 games in the Gym and on Courts 1 & 2 → 8-minute quarters (swap ends after each quarter).

Reminders:

  • No jewellery: Players are not allowed to wear earrings (including keepers), watches, or other jewellery on court. Taping of ears or bangles is not permitted. Medical bracelets may be worn if fully covered with tape.
  • Fingernails: Players’ fingernails must be short and smooth. Long hair must be tied back.
  • Dogs: Other than service dogs, dogs are not permitted on the school grounds.

🙏 A little favour for our final games:

As all games this week are fun, friendly, non-competition games, if your team is unable to play due to illness or another reason, we would really appreciate it if you could please see whether you can arrange fill-in players so that your team can still take the court.

Fill-in players do not need to have played in our competition this season, and younger siblings are very welcome too.

Our aim is for all teams to have the opportunity to enjoy a game and finish the season on a high, so we would love to avoid opposition teams missing out on their final game where possible. Thank you for helping us make the last day a fun one for everyone!
