COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
At Kidzplay Netball, our aim is to create a positive, supportive and enjoyable environment for all players, coaches, umpires and spectators.
We encourage any concerns to be raised promptly so they can be addressed in the moment wherever possible.
During the Game
If an issue arises during a game that may affect play or the experience of those involved, please ask a Kidzplay Netball Mentor/Official to come to the court at the time of the incident.
This allows us to:
- Observe the situation as it happens
- Provide immediate support or clarification
- Help resolve concerns fairly and on the spot
Issues raised at the time are much easier to manage and often prevent misunderstandings from escalating.
After the Game
If a concern is not resolved during the game, the following process applies:
- The concern should first be discussed with your School Netball Co-ordinator
- If a Kidzplay Netball Mentor or official was called to the court at the time of the incident, and the matter remains unresolved, the Co-ordinator may raise the concern with the opposition school or escalate it to Kidzplay Netball
- Any formal complaint must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the game
Please note:
- Formal complaints will only be considered if a Kidzplay Netball Mentor or official was called to the court during the game (or immediately following the incident)
- This ensures that the situation could be observed and addressed at the time, allowing for a fair and informed review
- All formal complaints must be submitted by the School Co-ordinator. We are unable to accept complaints directly from parents, coaches, managers, umpires or spectators
Important Information
To ensure fairness and consistency across the competition:
- Behaviour-related concerns will only be reviewed if a Kidzplay Netball Mentor was called to the court during the game
- Score-related concerns cannot be reviewed after the game. Teams are responsible for confirming the correct score during play. If there are any concerns, a Mentor must be called at the time
- Umpiring decisions will only be reviewed if a Kidzplay Netball Umpire Mentor was called to the court during the game
A Friendly Reminder
Our mentors are there to support you — please don’t hesitate to call them over during a game.
Addressing concerns in the moment helps ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone, and allows us to uphold the positive spirit of Kidzplay Netball.
