2022 Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge

My name is Caitlin,

Most will recognise me sitting behind the timing table, or crouching with my camera at the end of the courts.

Some will recognise me as an umpire, a mentor, a coach, or providing first aid on site.

Few will know me outside of Kidzplay Netball.

One of the things I do is volunteer with Fire and Emergency New Zealand as an Operational Support firefighter.

I will be climbing up the Sky Tower in the 2022 Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge.

This involves:

1,103 steps

25kg of kit

51 flights of stairs.

Firefighting provides some extreme environments and difficult challenges.

However, the biggest challenge out there is the fight for life, that 8 brave and strong kiwis will embark on every day against blood cancer.

To support these amazing people, I will be climbing to fundraise for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand.
