Completed an umpiring course and want to take the next step?

If you have completed an umpiring course, you are allowed to umpire junior netball at any netball centre, e.g. Kidzplay Netball, Netball North Harbour, etc.

Your next step will be finding yourself a team you can umpire. Please contact your local primary school's netball/sports co-ordinator as they may be looking for umpires.

Want to become a Kidzplay Netball Pool Umpire?

Every year, in Term 1, before the netball season commences, a pre-season meeting and trials are held for all umpires who wish to join our umpiring pool.

To be eligible to trial for the Kidzplay Netball umpire pool, umpires must:

• have taken an umpire course
• have had at least one year’s experience umpiring (both Winter League and Spring League)

Registrations to trial for the 2025 Umpire Pool will open 1 February 2025.

Registrations close 28 February 2025. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Spaces are limited so registrations are essential! NO late registrations or walkins on the day will be accepted.

Please note: We only do intakes at the beginning of each year, and our pool umpires normally sign up for both the Winter League and Spring League.
